Hello there! Playa del Carmen es un lugar que nos transporta a una atmósfera paradisíaca, llena de vistas hermosas y por supuesto, aguas turquesas. En mis 7 meses viviendo en ¨Playa¨(como le conocen los locales), descubrí lugares dignos de photoshoots. Aquí les comparto algunas de las locaciones que más disfrutamos, ya sea mientras paseábamos a chuleta, cuando salíamos a almorzar o dar un paseo.
Hello there! Playa del Carmen is a place that transports us to a paradisiacal atmosphere, full of beautiful views and turquoise waters. In our seven months living in ¨Playa¨ (as the locals call it), I discovered places worthy of photoshoots. Here I share with you some of the locations that we enjoyed the most, whether we were walking chuleta, going out for lunch, or going for a walk.
LA PLAYA Y SUS VISTAS
En los meses de Diciembre, Enero, Febrero, Marzo y Abril, el agua de la playa estuvo maravillosa, los siguientes meses estuvo regular. Esto se debe a la cantidad enorme de sargazo que llegaba a la playa, esta fue una de las principales razones por la que nos mudamos de Playa. Si planeas viajar, los meses recomendados son desde Octubre hasta Abril (según nuestra experiencia).
In December, January, February, March and April, the water on the beach was wonderful, the following months it was regular. This is due to the huge amount of seaweed reaching the beach, this was one of the main reasons we moved out from Playa. If you plan to travel and visit, the recommended months are from October to April (based in our experience).
PRINCIPIO DE LA QUINTA AVENIDA
La Quinta Avenida inicia justo donde esta la estación del Ferry para ir a Cozumel, allí se encuentra la estación de buses ADO. Justo allí encuentras la escultura de las sirenas, la iglesia y si sigues aproximadamente tres cuadras después, encontraras el pasillo con las guirnaldas clásicas de las celebraciones Mexicanas.
La Quinta Avenida begins right where the Ferry station is located. You can find the ADO bus station too. Right there, you will see the sculpture of the mermaids, the church, and if you continue approximately three blocks farther, you will find the hall with the classic garlands of Mexican celebrations.
QUINTA ALEGRIA MALL
Este era el centro comercial más cercano a nuestra casa. Allí encuentras el cartel que dice LOVE y otros murales. En la parte trasera esta el que dice GOOD THINGS HAPPEN HERE. dentro del mall también hay otros spots muy bonitos con luces neón (segundo piso).
Quinta Alegria was the closest mall to our house. There you find the sign that says LOVE and other murals. On the back is the one that says GOOD THINGS HAPPEN HERE. Inside the mall, there are also other very nice spots with neon lights (second floor).
FUSION BEACH BAR & CUISINE
Sin dudas nuestro bar favorito. Te recomiendo que veas el sunset desde aquí, con. una botella de vino. Es un lugar muy especial para nosotros.
Without a doubt our favorite bar. I recommend that you watch the sunset from here, with a bottle of wine. It is a special place for us.
1ra AVENIDA NORTE
La mayoría de las fotos que tenemos son alrededor de esta área, ya que aquí vivíamos. Desde Murales, hasta partes de la playa donde se encontraban los resorts como el HILTON o PANAMA JACK RESORT, este es sin duda el lugar de playa con lugares mas turísticos y dignos de photoshoots (basado en mi preferencia personal).
Most of our photos have been taken around this area (we used to live here). Here you can find incredible murals and resorts such as the HILTON or PANAMA JACK RESORT. This is the beach place with the most touristy spots worthy of photoshoots. (Based on my personal preference)
ALUX
Alux es un restaurante impresionante que debes visitar si planeas visitar Playa del Carmen. La experiencia de cenar dentro de un cenote es única. Cuando realizas tu reserva pide sentarte en la mesa 34 pegada al cenote.
Alux is an awesome restaurant that you must go if you plan to visit Playa del Carmen. The experience of dining inside a cenote is unique. When you make your reservation ask to sit at table 34 next to the cenote.
BAR RESTO CLUB SOCIAL
En este lugarcito aparte de tener karaoke, tiene un sign muy bonito afuera que dice Playa del Carmen. Si visitas y quieres la foto, puedes consumir un refresco o cerveza para cooperar con el restaurante.
In this place, besides having karaoke, it has a very cool sign outside that says, Playa del Carmen. If you visit and want the photo, you can have a soda or beer to cooperate with the business.
HOTEL HACIENDA MARÍA BONITA
Este hotel es uno de los mas conocidos que hay en Playa. Se caracteriza por su diseño rústico y colores llamativos. También cuenta con murales y esculturas clásicas de la cultura Mexicana. Esta sobre la décima avenida.
This hotel is one of the best known in Playa. It is characterized by its rustic design and striking colors. It also has classic murals and sculptures from Mexican culture.
ALDEA THAI CONDOS
Esta área también esta llena de pequeños spots donde puedes tomar fotos muy lindas.
This area is also full of small spots where you can get very nice photos.
Hasta aquí mis recomendaciones. Ya ven, Playa del Carmen esta lleno de bellezas por doquier. Sin dudas es toda una joyas de la Riviera Maya.
So far, these are my recommendations if you are planning to visit playa. You see, Playa del Carmen is full of beauties everywhere. Without a doubt, it is a jewel of the Riviera Maya.
