¡Hola por aquí! Por años, Santorini estuvo pegada en el tablero de mis viajes soñados. No importa como lo imaginen, este lugar siempre va a exceder sus expectativas. La había visto en fotos decenas de veces, pero encontrarte de frente con la majestuosidad de esta isla de poderosos contrastes es simplemente, alucinante.
Escogimos el encantador pueblito de Oia para nuestra estadía y no hay duda que fue la mejor elección ya que todo estuvo accesible desde ese punto. Nos quedamos en el hotel The Dream, donde tuvimos nuestra propia villa con balcón y vista al mar Mediterráneo. Oia se encuentra siempre muy animada, con sus laberintos de escaleras y veredas repletas de comercios, tiendas de souvenirs, bares y restaurantes. desde este punto se puede disfrutar de los atardeceres en su máxima plenitud. la magia de los atardeceres de esta isla es una experiencia que nos dejó atótinos y con ganas de capturar cada mínimo detalle de esta perfección que nos ofrece la naturaleza. Al terminar el espectáculo, espontáneamente todos aplaudimos.
Estos son mis consejos básicos si decides visitar esta hermosa y encantadora isla:
- Hay dos formas de llegar a Santorini: por avión o por barco. Nosotros tomamos un vuelo desde Atenas que tarda como unos 30 minutos. Luego rentamos un automóvil pequeño para llegar hasta Oia, de allí personal del hotel nos ayudo con las maletas.
- Les recomiendo al menos 2 o 3 días para que puedan ver lo suficiente, pero si desean explorar toda la isla, una semana seria genial.
- Llevar dinero en efectivo (euros). En la mayoría de los bares, tiendas y restaurantes se puede pagar con tarjetas de crédito, pese a todo, es muy posible que los negocios griegos prefieran que les pagues en efectivo.
- Dependiendo de la temporada así mismo es el precio de los hoteles o villas. Reserven con anterioridad y opten por visitar en la temporada baja si desean tomar fotos espectaculares.
- Los restaurantes se distinguen por su deliciosa comida mediterránea. Uno de mis platos favoritos fue el pulpo, las ensaladas y pasta del restaurante Lotza en Oia y por supuesto el café en Meteor Cafe.
Disfrutamos de tres días espectaculares en Santorini. Bellos paisajes, atardeceres de película, animales y gente muy simpática fueron protagonistas de nuestra linda experiencia en la isla. Santorini es un sueño que todo el mundo debería experimentar al menos una vez en la vida, y no quedarse solo con la imagen de las postales.
Hello there! For years, Santorini was stick on the board of my dream trips. No matter how you imagine it, this place will always exceed your expectations. I had seen it in pictures dozens of times, but finding yourself face to face with the majesty of this island of powerful contrasts is simply amazing.
We chose the charming little town of Oia for our stay and there is no doubt that it was the best choice since everything was accessible from that point. We stayed at The Dream hotel, where we had our own villa with a balcony and a view of the Mediterranean Sea. Oia is always very dynamic, with its mazes of stairs and sidewalks full of souvenir shops, bars, and restaurants. from this point, you can enjoy the sunsets at its maximum plenitude. The magic of sunsets is an experience that left us speechless and eager to capture every detail of this perfection that nature offers us. At the end of the show, spontaneously we all applauded.
These are my basic tips if you decide to visit this beautiful and charming island:
- There are two ways to get to Santorini: by plane or by boat. We took a flight from Athens which takes about 30 minutes. Then we rented a small car to get to Oia, from there the hotel staff helped us to carry our bags.
- I recommend at least 2 or 3 days so you can see enough, but if you want to explore the whole island, a week would be great.
- Carry cash (euros). In most of the bars, shops, and restaurants you can pay with credit cards, despite everything, it’s very possible that Greek businesses prefer you to pay them in cash.
- The price of the hotels or villas depends on the season. book in advance and choose to visit in the low season if you want to take spectacular photos.
- The restaurants are distinguished by their delicious Mediterranean food. One of my favorite dishes was the octopus, the salads and pasta from the Lotza restaurant in Oia and of course the coffee at Meteor Cafe.
We enjoyed three spectacular days in Santorini. Beautiful landscapes, incredible sunsets, very nice people and animals were protagonists of our beautiful experience on the island. Santorini is a dream that everyone should experience at least once in their life, and not be left alone with the image of the postcards.
